NAVY CURTIS A1 TRIAD















Chapter 478 is building a non-flying replica of the Navy's first airplane purchased in 1911. This replica will hang in the new Test & Evaluation Museum being built outside Patuxent River Naval Air Station.


We had a 2011 New Year's Eve party at Tom's home to put the upper wing panel on the A-1. "Chili" Wood provided the lunch. See how much progress has been made in a year from the photos below. Under Tom's able leadership, you will see a full up aircraft at the Pax River Air Expo in September 2011!
